Narcissus

It seems odd to see these so early, but there are little bundles of narcissus all over the yard. We had a nice sunny day so I was out there starting to prune the roses. Every year I chastise myself for not being bold enough with my cuts, and today is no different. I get the shrubs down to a respectable size, and know that someone else would easily take off another foot. I just can never find a good bud that far down. I think this was my only chance to work outside for awhile--we're expecting more rain for several days in a row. I'm very glad we are not traveling anywhere right now--looking forward to reading and knitting by the fire.
