Collision
A wet bird hit a window and left this collection of feathers and droplets. It survived and flew off, thank goodness. I would have gone outside to take a photo but it was pouring, so I took this from inside through the dirty window. G can see a hummer with its beak poking into the feathers in the image, and I could too after he pointed it out. I'm not the only one in the family with a good imagination!
It was so dark and wet this morning but it's cleared up and we've had some afternoon sun. We went for a very quick trip to pick up a couple of things in town and fill up with gas, which has gone up 10 cents a litre in the past week. More erosion has happened on the road repairs but so far it's still passable, a good thing since there's no other route out for us!
No plans for New Year's Eve tomorrow, except staying up to bring in 2023...maybe. :-))
I must take a photo of the amaryllis that Renata brought us in mid-November. I posted a few photos of it in my other journal. The four original beautiful blooms faded and another stem grew and has another four flowers about to bloom. Amazing! I've had a few amaryllis plants over the years and this is the first time I've had one that's had two separate stems.
