Winter Wonderland Wind Down

After yesterday's washout the forecast was for a break in weather with drier conditions and even some spells of sunshine so we decided a micro trip back to Tenterden was in order.
The roads were relatively quiet and we arrived just before midday and headed along the high street and then back to the Tenterden Town heritage railway station. When we arrived the station itself was closed and the whole site was almost completely deserted and you could see the remnants of what had been advertised as a 'winter wonderland" but was now looking somewhat woebegone with bedraggled tinsel, a rather doleful sleigh and disconsolate looking hoardings - see my main image and the first extra - which for some reason I found strangely comforting, a bit of post Christmas melancholia is all part of the yuletide experience for me. Mind you I'm sorry to have missed out on the real ale and cider trains!
I can't resist an enamel sign either so I have included a shot of one on one of the platforms as my third extra and for my last image the face of an anthropomorphic locomotive.
By the time we had finished getting our images the rain had started to return so we made a beeline for The Vine Inn for a pint, chips and garlic bread combo to round off our trip.
