Our morning run around
Just as we arrived up on the moor this morning (top left) we spotted the white mare and black foal. He has now grown quiet tall and turning more brown in colour. He was full of himself, and he came over to me today while mum was happy to continue grazing. Also hanging around was stallion who could have been its father.
We did our morning trip up to Hookney Tor (bottom left) and admired the view down the Challacombe valley before returning to the car and driving down this road on the run around the block, progress was held up by sleepy lambs enjoying the warm road. (top right),
There are lots of foals around now and we spotted this mare feeding a young one
(bottom right) near the Warren House Inn.
While yesterday was wet and misty and the roads busy with Ten Tors and weekend traffic, today the road was all ours and nearly traffic free with the sun shinning and clear sky. Home for breakfast and blipping time. This should look better in "Large"
