Today's the day ..................... to wrap up warmly

Blue skies all day today - always a treat because it means lots of sunshine too.  And because there was very little wind, you could kid yourself that it was quite warm.

It wasn't, of course - our top temperature today was probably around the 7°C mark - and by the time we went for a walk this afternoon, it would have been much less.  This lovely mare that we saw on the way was well wrapped up against the cold and looking even more chestnut red in the rays of the setting sun.

Looked pretty chic in that coat too ......................!
