22,500 steps by the sea

We met Marion and Steve at Craster for a walk via Dunstanburgh Castle to Newton by the sea and back - I was surprised it was over13km. They’ve recently been to Singapore and the Philippines for over a month. It sounded wonderful, but so it should have been with their own driver and a guide. I don’t know if our budget type trips would work there. It was tailor made by a company that spends hours on the phone finding out what sort of things you like to see and do which sounds really good. But you pay a lot for a service like that.

It’s ages since we’ve done that Craster walk and I really enjoyed it. (Mr C prefers the hills but was persuaded by the promise of a kipper purchase from Robson’s smokery).

Val is still really breathless after over a month with the cough - I dropped off some of the pudding for them - we kept our distance.

#3 daughter is feeling better which is just as well as she’s got a pile of marking to do.
