Occupational therapy

When the jedi was awake and had his pancakes and strawberries he said " be blippi Carson " and brought me his costume.  He's quite a determined wee soul so on it went. And when everyone was dressed we went to his OT appointment.  We have been waiting for this appointment for a year. He loved all the coloured chairs in the waiting room. He also kept saying " buy soda from the vending machine ". None of us have taught him that so I'm assuming it was blippi.  The appointment went well and she said I am doing everything she would have suggested.  He loved the room and was climbing on the soft play, playing with the water, drawing,  spinning and much more. She asked me what she could do for us. One of the things I spike about was his safe space bed and how we only have it until March. She is going to write a letter of support for us about Carson so that it can be sent to fundraisers that might be able to help with a safe space bed. They can be anywhere form £4000-£6000+ and there is not a chance in hell that we could afford one ourselves. I mean just this week alone we have spent nearly £70 just on fruit. The jedi can eat over 2 big punnets of strawberries everyday.  And Xander won't eat any other kind of apple than pink ladies and they're so expensive. Silly Mr R  for introducing him to them.

We managed to get outside for a wee half hour play on the bikes with a couple of the neighbour kids. Xander didn't feel great so we came back inside.  He's curled up on the sofa.

It's been a productive day and I managed to get the beds all stripped and changed. I love getting into bed with fresh bedding.

The three smaller wildlings are all upstairs playing quite happily.  I had to jedi proof a few things. One being the bunk bed. He can climb onto the top bunk and tries to jump off. I swear he causes me more stress than any of the wildlings. But I've blocked the opening off, the bathrooms are all locked and everything out of reach.  I'll have to tidy it all again once he's played. Lincoln is really good at helping to look after him. And Harp is like a mother hen.

No idea what's on the wildlings menu for dinner but I'm making Mr R and myself a smoky paprika panchetta pasta dish. I made it last night and it was tasty. Mr R doesn't mind having the same meal a couple of nights in a row .

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
