Grey Heron

Only 3 heron today. The two adult males and the young female (this is the regular male). The new male was waiting on the dovecote and flew down to meet me. I gave him a feed before the young female chased him. They both followed me round to the regular male for a further feed. The crows  had their biscuits as usual. As I was feeding the regular male a woman with a greyhound on a lead told me she had never seen heron as close up. She also told me she always kept her dog on a lead as she couldn't bear the consequences if her dog attacked one of the birds. I thought that was so refreshing!
Still no sign of the young one - I don't think it could have been her yesterday.
