We bought two rugs and some kitchen stuff. Makes for a big improvement. 

Heard today that The Captain, a local character best known for wearing a pirate hat and being drunk in charge of a park bench, had died. Rather sad. He was genial even when completely off his head and was very good at insulting Tory politicians. RIP.
