Saturday: Tobacco Caye

We’re off on a bit of an adventure with P&J again, this time to one of the islands off the coast of Belize.  We drove down to Dangriga, along the Hummingbird Highway, this morning and stopped for an excellent lunch at the Pelican Beach Resort.

We were due to be picked up by boat this afternoon to head to Glover’s Reef, where we are staying for a few days on a private island.  We were a bit early so did a nice drive around Dangriga.

We drove to the dock this afternoon where our boat picked us up, along with the other guests who are staying for a few days.  It has all the makings of an Agatha Christie novel.  Thank goodness Miss Marple isn’t one of the guests or I’d be seriously suspicious.

We’ve yet to see the island in daylight so I’ll report more fully tomorrow.  This is Tobacco Caye where we stopped off en route to ‘our’ island.
