Asparagus sky

I managed to walk in the morning watery sunlight between showers.  I extended the newspaper walk to get some steps in as the rain was coming back later.  This is summer’s closest, sandy asparagus field and even it looks wet.

We had a quiet day at home and I got loads done. Mainly clearing out the bathroom and spare room that are going to be painted.  I managed to cull quite a bit as well as some things were stashed there when we moved in two years ago and haven’t been looked at since.

Cooked a good supper from Diana Henry of chicken in Orange, ginger and hot sauce.  Very good recipe I picked up on line.  I did a cabbage side dish from an American blogger who wrote with huge enthusiasm about the taste of the dish but failed to put anything much in the instructions.

Watched the second Happy Valley which was a masterclass in tension even though the outcome was about two much loved characters having to confront each other.
