A light sprinkling of snow

A few flakes all afternoon and as I came out of the barn office to go back to the house it had settled a centimètre or so in the previous hour.  

Earlier in the day I went over to Mum’s to be with her during a health visitor appointment.  Admired her hyacinths which were scenting up the kitchen, including one in a hyacinth vase which has flowered better than almost any of mine. 

Otherwise an office day, confronting the VFX budget yet again and wondering how we will deliver this show! 

V had been in London and I picked him up from the train as the mini is out of action. We were glad to have left overs and finished of venison stew with pasta and I made a Jamie Oliver fried red cabbage recipe which was delicious. 

Watched another episode of The Tourist which has gone a bit too bonkers, and much less well directed than the first block but we’ll get to the end.
