Chad (French Equatorial Africa)

Blipper SMLP made our day yesterday when she sent us this photograph of a hand-painted map of Chad. Her husband bought it in the country in 2003. 

This is just the kind of shot that we were hoping for to collect the remaining hard-to-reach locations mentioned in Lorna Lloyd's Diary of the war (previously blipped in full in the LornaL journal, and now available as a podcast series). 

This means that we can take French Equatorial Africa (now Chad, the Central African Republic, the Republic of the Congo, and Gabon) and Lake Chad off our list below  - hurrah! These places feature in Lorna's war diary entry of August 29th 1940. The audio version of her commentary appears in Episode 7 of the podcast series.
