Life's Rich Tapestry

An enjoyable if slightly lazy morning with the minky (we watched one of the Shrek films). Then I was off to the south side to assist Long Juan with his latest purchase - an early 18th century tapestry. Here it is - with a sliver of damaged ceiling in view - a leak from upstairs while he was down in Nottingham as he is most of the time now, having found late flowering love.
Later, a talk over at RFYC - a very good turnout to hear Torben Sell talk about his recent trip to Gothenburg and Lubeck. His night time videos of the north sea were a particular highlight. And heavens, his engine packed in. Though I’m not sure if this was a surprise - he’d been having “difficulties” with it before he went. Oh yes, and he didn’t realise there were strong tides in the Skaggerak, and with no engine and no wind…. One thing I will remember is that apparently Morrison’s vegan mac’n’cheese is diabolical. Though as that’s his verdict it’s probably very good.
