Yet again I had not been able to find either fresh or tinned lychees locally but we had more than enough Chinese food to keep for tomorrow and we were able to use our chopsticks on this Chinese New Year. With the world in a state it is hoped that according to Chinese tradition this Year of the Rabbit is “likely to be calm and gentle, bringing an energy that will help those looking for more of a balanced life.”  A few years ago a friend gave us this painted silk picture after her visit to China
