Jug in the making

Second pottery class this afternoon. My throwing technique is improving, although this has been over-shaped, and in retrospect I shouldn’t have exaggerated the belly like this. Before I shaped it, it was a very good cylinder, slightly tapered in, which I was very pleased with, so definite progress there. It’s not a bowl, at least!

My car was making a horrible grinding sort of sound on the last bit of the journey there, somewhere around the front wheels. I worried about it all class, but the noise had gone when I drove it home. Something stuck in the brakes, maybe?
