Landon

We had a short time with our grandson Landon this morning at his soccer club. His mother brought him and we went to watch. His squeal of delight when he saw us drive in was a moment to treasure.

It was only a brief visit as he was taking part in the class then he went with his mum to visit a friend for the afternoon. We won’t see him now until Thursday. Even though we’ve travelled all this distance we will see him for some 6 or 7 days while we will see Madison every day. This may not matter now but in the future I wonder how this inequality of time might play out.

We went back to Chris and Carly’s for lunch and Madison time then collected her parents and went for a hike around San Deguito River trail at Del Mar in the gathering dusk. Plenty of birds around including an Osprey sitting on a cable across the river not more than 20 yards from where we were standing on a bridge.

A lovely evening with the family rounded off the day.
