I had no intention of ending up at a supermarket when I left the house early this afternoon.

I hoped that the hint of brightness to the south would lead me to better weather. It did for a few minutes approaching Bowness. Then I sat at traffic lights considering different options and found myself escaping the queue at the next junction on the left and heading to Kendal. If the sun had appeared I would have continued to Sizergh Castle. It didn’t so I put fuel in the tank and did the week’s shopping . . . without my list.
