The Red Lion, Liverpool

In anticipation of our trip to Sierra Leone at the end of next month, the Minx is renewing her passport, resulting in a train journey across to Liverpool, this afternoon. 

Of course, we wanted to make the most of it, so we booked into the new Radisson Red for the night, and had a pre-passport office drink in The Red Lion pub, which was opened last year by my friend, Bob. Featured in today's Blip are the lovely beer glasses.

Passport sorted, we took an Uber over to Lark Lane to meet Bob in his latest venture, The Green Man, which is just stunning. In fact, I'd have happily spent the evening in there, but we crossed the road to join Bob's wife for dinner, which was excellent in every respect.
