Kormorant kisses

I was back in my favorite spot for seeing warblers up close and personal, but instead I was taken by the action on the water.
This pair of double crested cormorants seemed to be in a world of their own as they moseyed back and forth across the pond a couple of times, stopping here and there to rub their beaks together. There was no diving for food, or underwater shenanigans, no frenzy for survival, just swimming side by side with the occasional peck on the beak.
After their romantic stroll, or paddle, they both got out on the rocks and hung their wings out to dry.
Such a compatible couple!
