Cornus branches

A friend asked if I wanted these dogwood branches and it was too good an offer to reject. I thought they'd look great, whatever I did with them. 

And then it occurred to me that I could lay them over my newly-fenced asparagus bed for extra muntjac protection when the first stems start coming up. Now I'll need more branches for the other bed though...
