I rescued it …honest!
Amber thought that kitty might be lonely, as I’ve been out all afternoon.
The window cleaners arrived this morning, good timing as the windows were filthy after the gutter man’s hard work this week. I asked the boss lad if they would also do the potting shed windows, inside and out. They are difficult to do and we struggled to do them last year. They were happy to clean them for us and what a super job they did.
I met up with some of my quilting friends to visit a fabric sale at Navenby village hall, a super venue. There was a massive selection of fabrics from a company which I’m used to seeing at quilt fairs at Harrogate or Birmingham and have bought fabrics from many times. I was able to show the boss a picture of the coat I made last summer from fabric bought from them in 2018 or 19. I’ve posted a picture of the fabric bought in extras.
We adjourned to a local cafe for a late lunch and chat afterwards.
There was a minor emergency whilst we were in the cafe. A lady walking outside tripped over and fell onto her face, think that she had her hands in her pockets at the time. She made a real mess of her nose and lips, blood everywhere and a had bump on her forehead which was beginning to swell.
Someone came in to the cafe to ask for tissues or a cloth to mop up and if there was anyone who could help. I went to assist. The nearby pharmacist came and offered to take the lady to a place of safety, which was ideal. She was able to walk with assistance.
It took me 40 minutes to drive over and 55 minutes to drive home, Friday evening traffic was heavy. I enjoyed having the opportunity to be out driving on a pleasant afternoon.
