Moffat Ram
We headed north today to spend a few days with J and P. We had decided to try Tebay for lunch but sadly it has become so popular since the tv series that it was chocker, so it was a quick loo stop and we continued on our way.
J messaged to say her neighbours recommended Brodie's in Moffat and so we turned off the motorway, parked up in the market square and sought out the café. Great recommendation neighbours! Lovely, cheerful welcome and smashing food although we should have probably shared the chocolate and orange cake.
Once arrived after an uneventful journey, J and I did a circuit of the village taking in the Buddhist Eco Farm and their alpacas before P returned from work and we ordered in food. The evening has passed catching up on Andor.
My blip, somewhat overblown, is of the Moffat Ram. apparently 'anatomically deficient' according to one source but I won't delve in to that criticism. Cast in bronze in 1875, it was given to the town by a local businessman to commemorate the wool and farming trade. Ah I see, according to another source, 'it has nae lugs.'
