Happiness is Parkrun

I was Run Director at Parkrun this morning and Tony was helping me to set up the course.  When we arrived at the gate to the Park Workers' compound where our storage container is housed, the gate was seriously fenced off.  Meanwhile Sarah and Chris had arrived and Parkrun Tourist Amelia who had volunteered to help set up.  We spent a few moments wondering if we had to cancel but then decided we could run it with what we had and our fab marshals.  Tony returned home to collect the bags of orienteering cones and controls and tape and then did a great job of setting out the meadow route, whilst I contacted Steve who said he would bring a first aid kit.  By the time the parkrunners arrived it looked like they were doing an orienteering running event and all was well.  My meadowometer went down a treat and the team did a great job of improvising in time for the start.

My blip is of regular Myrtle parkrunner Amy who had brought her Mum along today.  They could pass as sisters!
