Stone masonry

I have passed this wall many times without noticing it. I love the skill and craftsmanship that went into this. Note the line of decoration on the face of the pillar. The addition is from the same place focusing further along at the misaligned capping stones.
The wall is outside Capheaton village hall where a very popular tearoom is offered on a Saturday and Sunday to raise funds to maintain the hall. The cheese scone today was delicious.
