Thursday's Flower

Should have rained today, but it held off. Couldn't sleep well last night. Alyssa jumped into bed with us at about 5am, then proceeded to evict me from my side of the bed with little kicks and elbow jabs.

Made it to the doctors office on time. It was a pleasant enough visit that was hugely overdue, and lasted only 30 minutes. Drove to the wine store and the pharmacy... yes, in that order. Got my wine and drugs and went home for a lovely lunch of leftover stuffed shells, persuaded my daughter to have a nap with me, and woke up to the doorbell. Piano lessons!

Followed up some paperwork, made a few phone calls, scheduled a play-date, cleaned the dishes, put the laundry away, helped my son with his homework, and made dinner (eggplant parmesan).

Since the rain never arrived, I took a lovely glass of Merlot out to the garden and proceeded to weed. I could weed forever. It's so therapeutic.
