Absconding hens
This week the hens (Hilda, Molly, Lily, Daisy and, er, Pecky) declared themselves free range and were found wandering off across a field of sheep, oblivious to the current DEFRA rules. This morning we ambushed them one by one as they emerged from the coop and clipped their wings so they can be safely contained. They seem resigned to captivity again.
I’ve been getting out in the garden doing some tidying up and ground preparation, it’s lovely to be out in the fresh air after so much cold and wet weather.
