Cake and cocktail Fridays

When I first retired and L was still working we used to celebrate the start of the weekend with a cake and a cocktail. We used to have a different cake and cocktail every week. Of course there was left-over cake to be eaten every week and before long L had gained half a stone and we had to stop. So this week we thought just for a change we would do it again - just this once - with amaretto-flavoured macarons (didn’t turn out as well as hoped) and our family favourite French 75 cocktail. Nice for a change.
