Best Seat In The House

Having chickened out yesterday today Paddy and I did the whole six miles.
No rush though.
I’ve ‘Blipped’ before about the seat in todays ‘extras’, it is one of my favourite spots.
So Paddy and I headed off early today sticking to the pavement until we reached The Point where I got a coffee from the van and we went down to the bench and sat awhile.
No noise other than the wind and the waves breaking on the rocks beneath, sunshine and a chill but a great place to sit and think things over. I guess Paddy understands the setting or the mood, for the fifteen minutes I was sat there he just laid at my feet quietly.
We moved off and headed back, again no rush, but by the time we rolled through the front door we were both ready for a cold drink and the settee for a while.
By the time Mrs S arrived I’d had Cheesy-Hammy-Eggy, (it’s a Navy thing), for dinner and was ploughing through my book; Black Gold, the history of the U.K’s mining history by Jeremy Paxman, hard going but interesting.
