Observed

It felt just a little disconcerting to be looked at by a disused coffee cup as I waited at a bus stop on my way home from town this morning.

I was in town very early in order to be at my chiropodist at the end of a bus journey at the appointed hour. The reason I was bus bound rather than foot bound was the very reason I was visiting the chiropodist, namely a corn on the sole of my foot. It’s so annoying that such a small affliction but a very painful one has such an effect on one’s walking.

However, an hour later with the deft use of a scalpel and a felt plaster ( and a corresponding drop in bank balance) I was able to hop, skip and jump all the way home.
My relief is palpable.
