The woods
Not the blip I had imagined in my mind today.
After morning chores, dog walk etc, I set off to meet Nicoiseannie at Moggerhanger Park.
As always, I enjoyed the walk, the chat, the coffee, but in my mind I wanted to get a wide sweeping carpet of snowdrops for my blip.
In reality the ground in the woods there is so dry and laden with dead leaves, fallen branches and trees, it just didn’t happen.
So here are three of the best. Again I’d really like the daffodils to be behind the snowdrops. But that meant walking off path to get to a different position.
The fungus - so I’m told - is King Alfred’s Cakes aka Daldina Concentrica. I’d never have noticed it myself. Nicoiseannie has the most incredible fungi radar….. :-)
