Oranges

Today's the day ......................... to take delivery

It's that time of year again when Maria Luisa Henriquez Santana sends us some of her oranges.

They arrived here today by post - in pristine condition - sent off a few days ago by Maria, who farms at Pozo la Higuera on the border between Murcia and Almeria in Spain.  Her farm is just one of a whole group of growers who have got together in a Crowdfarming Venture to bring their produce directly to the customer.

So I'll be making a bit of marmalade, orange cakes and the like - and we will have freshly-squeezed orange juice for breakfast.  Might just eat a few too, as they are - to remind ourselves what a proper orange tastes like ...................!.
