Lunch in the sun!

A friend came over to visit and we went to the Sunbury Embroidery Gallery and spent quite a while there looking the amazing Millennium Embroidery work . Even though I have seen it before I am always so impressed with it….it is all about Sunbury so many houses have been embroidered/ appliquéd plus other landmarks and river craft, also lots of birds and vegetation. It is all so realistic and when you look at it close up you can see the amazing amount of work that went into it. Apparently it has been rated as the best community quilt work in the country.
The cafe there was very busy so we went across the road to a very old pub, The Magpie, which has a nice garden overlooking the river. It was so warm we could sit outside and take our coats off…and we had a nice lunch too!
