Redundant snowshoes
Up at 4 this morning and just before 5 we were on our way to the local airport. Unsurprisingly the roads were very quiet, the journey went well, and it was only as we arrived at the airport that traffic appeared, mostly taxis.
Midlanda is not a Manchester or Gatwick type airport! There was only one plane leaving so you drop the passengers 2 meters from the door and they walk 25 meters to the only check-in desk, then another 10 meters to security, and finally an escalator to the gate, directly above the check-in. HarlingDarling has an extra showing them arriving at the gate.
We popped into Rose's on the way back, to return the car she lent us for the airport trip, and for breakfast.
Once home we started clearing up, including putting these snowshoes away in the barn.
We've been very tired all day and feeling a little flat without our visitors. It has been so good to share time and space with Dave, Jude and Dette, particularly as we shared Dave and Jude's space over Christmas/New Year. Now for a quieter time...
