Gardening galore

Summer has appeared and so virtually the whole day has been spent weeding! Today it has been a joy as the ground is just right, heavy clay can be like cloying toffee if it is too wet or concrete in the other extreme. The quality of light makes such a difference to one's wellbeing and today, as the saying goes, " God is in his heaven" and the colours have been extraordinary.

Here are some tulips N planted last autumn together with Valerian in front and the last of the self-seeded cowslips in the lawn behind.
