Escapee Cat
We’ve had a worrying few days as one of our feral cats, which were supposed to be kept locked up for 6-8 weeks to imprint ‘home’ into their little heads, has managed to get out. We still can’t work out how. We hoped he would stay close by and left him food and water. The food was being eaten, but we weren’t quite sure if rats were the culprits. We tried leaving a camera running to see if we could capture the event, but the battery kept running out and we were no wiser.
Today I put food down and decided to stake out the premises like a TV detective, and sure enough along came Colin*, seen here sitting on the roof of his erstwhile prison. Now we are wondering whether to simply let the other one out so they can be together, or whether they will both then abscond. Meanwhile we have left the inner door open so they can at least see each other through the chicken wire of the outer door.
We are incredibly happy to see the naughty little chap again!
*We have renamed him Colin Feral, after the actor Colin Farrell
