Ladies who ....

Slept well at RB13's and enjoyed further chat over tea and hot cross buns with chunky marmalade over breakfast.

We then walked down to Botanics to meet annejohn for her monthly blipmeet (my first). It was really interesting seeing the Botanics through someone else's eyes.

There were still lots of snowdrops along with emerging daffodils & crocuses and, most surprising of all rhododendrons in full bloom.

I stopped to smell the snowdrops and found that they do indeed smell of honey as Nadine described. Who knew (Well Nadine obviously :-) )

We enjoyed a coffee and Annejohn shared her buttermilk pancakes - it is pancake date after all.

I then headed into town with RB13 - I parted company at the St James Quarter and had a good browse around before heading to National Gallery to see Velasquez' s Women Cooking Eggs. It is such a remarkable piece of art - over 500 years old and yet so fresh and lifelike.

I stopped off at Castle Fine Art before catching bus home. They still had some Dylan originals on display, including one of his ironworks which is remarkable in its one way. Hopefully they will still be there next week when I come down with T so he can see them for himself.

It's been a great 24 hours (well 23 to be precise) in Edinburgh
