Shelducks

New bird sighting today - spotted a number of rather elegant looking Shelducks off the coast.  Lots of oyster catchers, a few curlews and cronkers, a couple of wigeon but the Shelducks were new.  They had to be the blip today.

The weather eased off and we got out to explore the King's caves, dinosaur handprints and Drumadoon fort.  It was good to have a coastal walk and get some fresh air.  There was a school group exploring the caves at the same time and I was desperately trying to get some pictures of the caves without the kids in!  They looked like they were having a good time camping out and having lunch in the big cave.

Really enjoying our time at Auchrannie - would recommend as a place to stay for anyone heading to Arran!
