The pits !

We had a visit from a structural engineer today - essentially to check that our extension plans are feasible, which they seem to be. These pits were dug by T in preparation for this visit.

The architect will now finalise the warrants and submit to the council for approval and once approved we can then go out to tender.   This is likely to take a few months so the earliest that any work might start would be the autumn.  In some respects this is better than the summer as we will have to move out for some of the time at least and finding somewhere to stay will be easier then.  I have a dream of escaping to the Outer Hebrides for six months but I suspect T would prefer to be closer to home. 

I enjoyed my yoga class this morning - it was much needed after all the pavements I pounded in Edinburgh yesterday. 

I also took advantage of the sunny weather this afternoon to get on with some more garden tidying - my hebe is no more :-(  although there are some baby shoots growing so we shall see.
