Nice Day

Woke up feeling better today!
Glenn and I went for a drive. Stopped at a couple garage sales. Got a $2 trinket we had to have but will never use. The other one was good if you wanted to buy DVD's and old purses. Took a round-a-bout way to the egrets. Along the way we came across this sign in the middle of a cow pasture. We had a chuckle as we figured the "speed zone" ended long before you got there :) :)

Then we happened upon this mama wild turkey and her turkettes (correct terminology would be turkey hen and her poults). We were thrilled because they are usually very skittish and hard to approach. She must have had a dozen or more little ones!! I stopped the car, literally in the middle of the road(it's the country and we hadn't seen a car yet) and I followed them snapping away for a minute until she veered into the tall grass where the babies vanished below the greenery. Of course, THREE cars came just then all at the same time on both sides of the road!! Oops. So they had to wait a few seconds for me to move my car :)

Off to the egrets who still aren't very active. Many kept getting up and poking at their eggs. I think the babies will be here soon!!

I had to go close the store down. We had a super day!!!
