Hungry Hill

A crisp bright sunny day as I nipped into Bantry for some emergency supplies- milk and cat crunchies. The Beara was looking majestic - that's the highest mountain in the Caha range and the one Daphne du Maurier wrote about in her novel Hungry Hill. Actually called Cnoc Doad.

The good news is the book is now ready for its final proof read! We shall get it photocopied on Monday and then comb through it for the inevitable typos and weird events.

After that we needed an early evening walk. The sun was in our eyes and it was very squelchy underfoot but good to be out.
