Sunrise
I'm not really a morning person so 7:15 I'm usually still asleep. However, after a rather early night I woke up just before 7 this morning, and got up in time to witness, and photgraph, our sunrise! The sunrise has travelled a fair way eastwards (that's left in this image) since midwinter.
The promise of that blue sky held and most of the day we enjoyed sunny weather. Just after lunch Rose arrived and we all went snowshoeing following the route I used yesterday. Both Jan and Rose were impressed by how many deer tracks there are in that piece of open forest.

Once we got home we lit the fire and enjoyed a nice cup of tea, before settling down to spaghetti bolognese and cabbage salad!
