King and Queen?

After a trip to see a my physiotherapist this morning …all progressing well and we went in the gym today so I could go on an exercise bike which was fine although I won’t go back to my gym for another two weeks…this afternoon I went with a friend to a local Sculpture exhibition nearby. It is The Surrey Sculptor Society exhibition and is held annually. Some quite conventional looking work and some very whacky. Also some paintings too.

The ‘ king and queen’ caught my attention as I’m sure my brother has lots of very very old rusty pliers etc in his garage/ workshop that he could make something like this with! Although he is not arty he does do some welding occasionally so I shall send him the photo and suggest he has a go! This one was proc3d at £450!

The extra shows a jackdaw..made with steel, aluminium and mixed media £750. On closer examination it was interesting to see than in the tin there were lots of bits and pieces including shiny things to indicate that jackdaws like collecting things.
