Today's the day ....................... to have a party

Sorry this picture is not of the best quality - but it was taken late in the day after a very good St David's Day Party round at ours.

We invited 14 people to come, because that was the maximum number we could fit into our kitchen seated round tables.  We told them that there would be a modest supper served - leek and potato soup, homemade bread, a selection of Welsh cheeses, chutney and fruit.  But more importantly, after that they would be expected to sing, recite a poem or speak on a topic.  It shouldn't last more than a few minutes and it should have some sort of a Welsh connection.

The incredible thing was that they all accepted the invitation - and they all turned up full of energy and enthusiasm for things Welsh.  The performances were all excellent and most enjoyable.  A great night was had by all .........................!
