In The Village

Breakfast with daughter Sarah, grandson Luis and his girlfriend Fran in the hotel, great to catch up, always good to see family.

Not too many bad heads this morning but our group of four, Mrs S, Joshua and Tiana were looking forward to heading off to East Wittering and meeting up with Mark, Mrs S’s brother.
We went via Aldershot Military Cemetery so as to visit my Mum & Dad. A sea of peace and tranquility in the middle of a busy town I always enjoy visiting. Their grave faces the young lads, paratroopers, who were brought back from the Falklands in ‘82, directly opposite them is Sgt Ian Mackay VC.

We then headed off to see Mark, great to see him. We watched England v Wales over a coffee and the biggest chocolate cake before heading down to the beach area for dinner - gammon steak, eggs, chips and peas with a Peroni.
On to the Shore Inn for three pints of Doom Bar a beer local to home before heading back to Marks for a last coffee before bed.

Todays picture is of the original lifeboat slip at Newquay, one from Wednesdays walk. Difficult to imaging hurtling down this in an open topped boat heading into storm force seas and wind, brave people.
