A pleasant afternoon in Belfast
A bit of a long-winded title, but it says it all! I had two glasses to return to Anthropologie (I ordered the red wine ones instead of white wine) and I wanted to avail of sale prices, so it had to be today. Red wine glasses returned and white wine ones bought, we repaired to Avoca for coffee and scones. The Ards Man was aghast at the cost of the coffees, but they were very good. The scones could have doubled as small mountains for training folk climbing the Himalayas, so we were well set up for an afternoon’s wander.
The AM sussed out prices for a new Apple computer and has decided which one to save up for :-)
We travelled to Belfast and home again by train - free! 60-plus folk get free rail and bus travel in N Ireland and we love it! So we wombled back to the station via M&S (for crusty bread and a bottle of wine) and the bookshop. I just browsed the books as I’d ordered the one I wanted half-price online (sorry Waterstones) and had received a message telling me that it had been delivered at home.
So now we’re home again, about to have a G&T and some olives. Dinner will be crusty bread and tapenade, followed by microwaved leftovers from a couple of curries last week. We know how to live it up!
