A Flock of Thieves

My pecan nut tree was descended upon this morning by a flock of thieving Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, and I couldn't have been happier. I've wanted to take some photos of these gorgeous birds for ages but up until this morning they have not been close enough to my house to get any decent photos.

This photo was my choice for today as one lone Cockatoo had flown to a tree even closer to the house than the pecan nut tree, enabling me to get an even clearer photo.

I've spent all of today out and about, so tomorrow morning will have to go down to the pecan nut tree to see if the greedy cockies have left us any pecan nuts!
