First Time Since November......

I have not gotten to go walking with my sweet friend, Jane, since November due to circumstances beyond our control.  Today we got together again, so I got to go all the way down to the Methodist Church where these roses were blooming!  I wasn't sure that I would find enough contrast for a good black and white shot and this shot did not look particularly promising until I converted it to black and white and zoomed in to make it more abstract.  The sun must have been hitting it at just the right point to make the center appear to be  glowing, so my husband and I agreed that it was the one to use for today's Abstract Thursday challenge of "Black And White".  Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting......
