Caution. Man Opening Large Umbrella?
There is a great amount of work being carried out by the gardeners at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh.
Tree Cutting continues and the results of this particular warning board is shown in the first extra. There are nearly 3500 trees in the garden and it is not surprising that some come to the end of their life each year.
Of course the gardeners are working to plant trees as well various bulbs, flowers and shrubs. They are very busy.
The second extra shows work on the restoration of the Palm House. This is a photo of the photograph which forms part of the fencing enclosing the construction site.
The weather stayed fair for my visit. I picked up Pat from her Life Drawing at the Scottish Arts Club and we then had lunch with Mr and Mrs Dog. Mrs Dog is recovering well from her knee surgery.
We did not stay long, being very aware of the weather warnings in Scotland.
On our way home we did encounter significant snow and sleet storms. We remained on the M9 rather than head home our normal way. We were influenced by Apple Maps changing our route from the one chosen.
The road surface was tricky and required a degree of caution on my part and not shown by many motorists who carried on at a faster speed. Luckily for them there were no accidents despite a few skids in evidence.
We arrived home safely.
