Pie In The Sky

I walked at Amwell this afternoon. The great white egret was still on station getting mobbed by the black-headed gulls. There's a heronry and I photographed my first ever flock of herons in flight. Four of them flew in at the same time. The gulls were having a go at the herons too and harried a red kite. I also got my first shot of a great crested grebe in flight, they rarely take to the air. Unfortunately it was soft.

Even though I got some decent pictures of water birds I've decided to blip this magpie.
